Talk:List of channels on Freesat (UK)

From TVCL - TV Channel Lists

Some of the channels in the "International" category of the non-freesat list clearly belong in the News or Religion sections. 90.200.110.30 14:52, 14 February 2016 (UTC)

Prominence of HD channels

The article states "On high definition (HD) boxes the HD channels are given prominence over the standard definition (SD) counterpart" but this is not entirely correct. For BBC channels it is the case but where I live (Northern Ireland) the SD versions of UTV and Channel 4 are on the 103 and 104 slots which is somewhat annoying.

Actually unless they're carrying split programming at times I've never understood the point of having LCN's of the SD versions of HD channels on the HD EPG at all. Maybe someone could explain ? 90.200.110.30 14:59, 14 February 2016 (UTC)

Listing regional channels in the entertainment section

Im not up with how to edit wiki pages, but Im hoping someone else could look at the idea I have and see if it could be implemented. Its currently quite messy for the regional channels to be listed in the entertainment section like they are, as its hard to read a particular region as a list.

Perhaps dividing the columns of SD and HD into the 4 national areas of the UK would help here, for the first 20 channels. By that I mean the SD and HD columns get sub divided into 4 columns and the channel numbers duplicated or whatever differences they are are shown in each sub divided column. Add a Miscellaneous/Others category?

Hi all,

Would it be ok/possible to add a miscellaneous category in the non-freesat section for test channels (For example) such as the currently testing fta FreesportsHD ?

Cheers,
