FiOS Solution

You could make a new section in the article showing the custom TV listings.

Get rid of of the the coloums after "network" and replace them with the customs.

Interesting. We can't get rid of the other columns, except maybe the VOD one. But a whole new page isn't something I thought of. I'm not sure what the precedent is for having more than one page for one provider. Another option is we could have a Custom TV column, and in the column we have symbols corresponding to what custom tv packages that channel is in (each symbol could represent a package), though I'm not sure how that would look. Thoughts (TVCL, LIM, others)? Branch (talk) 14:36, 11 February 2019 (UTC)
Another option to make space is to remove the 'Notes' column. It takes up a lot of space and only a few stations have notes. The notes could be inserted as footnotes, like how Wikipedia does references. That would free up a fair both of column space. Also, I'm not sure if it's possible, but the package column headings could be rotated 90 degrees, which would allow for the column widths to be much narrower.Tvchannellists (talk) 07:27, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
Hmm... I like that idea. Issue is without Visual Editor, it's very difficult to remove a column. I'll look into see if there's a site that can turn a wiki table into visual just to delete the column, then pull it back in. Branch (talk) 20:49, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
You can do this on a sandbox page on a Mediawiki install that does have VisualEditor (e.g. Wikipedia) by copying over the source code from our page. In Wikipedia, start by opening the visual editor, then switch to using the source editor, paste our code in, then switch back to visual editor. Make your changes in the visual editor, then switch back again to code view and then you can copy and paste the code back onto TV Channel Lists. You don't even have to save it (to avoid it appearing in the page's history) as you can switch between visual and code view on the fly. Tvchannellists (talk) 23:36, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
Just an update, I have done this using the method described above. It's something to keep in mind if you need to do any edits that are difficult to do without Visual Editor.
@Branch: You should be able to re-add the notes by looking at a previous version of the page for reference. Tvchannellists (talk) 23:36, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
Thanks! Would you be able to do it for the VOD Column too? It’s kinda useless. Then I’ll get work this weekend fixing Custom TV lineups. Branch (talk) 23:38, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
No problem. All done. Tvchannellists (talk) 00:09, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
